Finally I have the time! Spent the past few days working on my portfolio, adding new objects (which I still have plenty to contribute) and just designing it overall.  I’ve also got a few updates to do towards Hamster Cannon that need to be posted on here but I’ve been more focused on finishing the website in general. As promised, here’s an updated version of the Hamster Cannon prototype. This update includes the skill tree beginnings.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been slowly (but surely) working on some design ideas for a game I plan on developing some time in the future. I did all the basic design and layout in Photoshop and then sliced it up and exporting the various elements to flash. I haven’t spent much time in AS3, so I did this in AS2 as a result, not that this is very script-demanding or anything, just making a point. Currently the only working features are:

• Working button up / over / and down states
• Ability to mute and restore sfx and music volumes
• Options menu with working volume sliders that remember choices

I’m still doing work on it as we speak, so I’ll be sure to post some more updates as I get some more progress done with it. I’m also working on a port of an earlier project of mine, Death Slayers, to C++ using the DarkGDK library. Death Slayers was initially developed using the Multimedia Fusion game engine and since I’ve currently taking a C++ class I felt it only necessary to give it that honor.

The past few weeks have made things a bit difficult to work on. My classes have been putting a decent amount of food on my plate. Given that I have some more free time now, I’ve spent the past week or so working on a website for a band. As of right now I don’t have the entire site live, however it will be in the coming days so if you’d like to see it in action check out www.ScornedDeity.com.

Once this school quarter gets finished up I hope to have the gallery and remaining pages finished. My apologies for taking such an extended amount of time to getting it finished. Also expect some sneak peaks at some art for an upcoming project I’ll be working on.

Well I definitely could have had the Resume, and maybe even more, available by now, however my CSS code was just getting extremely messy, so I went through and revamped my CSS hierarchy system. I made it much more modular, and although you may not see a difference as the consumer, let me tell you that it is much, much more efficient

Anyways, I’ll be finishing up more of the Resume tomorrow. I just got done adding a PHP download script so any files I want available for download (In this case, my Resume in multiple different formats) can be forcefully downloaded, rather than the browser attempting to open .doc or .txt files like it would normally. So far it’s all working well, however I need rest, and its nearing 7am.

Ah, success! After a few days of messing around and getting everything perfect, I think I have all of my blog completely integrated into the website. Everything should look great now, I even went back to a lot of my prior posts that I imported from blogger and updated them to fit my WordPress text and image formatting. I’ve got a client’s website that I really need to work on this week, however. So I’ll probably be placing a lot more time into their site, rather than mine, over the coming days.

Had a short, but unexpected vacation this week. Took some time off just to relax in the woods, which was great! Now I’ve still got over a week to get in some serious work, and catch up on some of those goals I set earlier in the week.

Had a bit going on today, so I wasn’t able to put in a full days work on the site like planned today. Got the bio up and available for view now. Going to attempt to have my resume up tomorrow, as well as contact information. I have another website I’m designing for a client on my plate at the moment too, so I’ll have to divide a portion of my time towards it as well.

An excessive amount of free time had led me to the creation of a new web portfolio. Over the past few hours I’ve been grinding away, coding like a mad-man to present my digital work. Little sleep and a few Red Bulls later, voila! I hope to have most of the pages operational by the end of tomorrow, and assuming all goes as planned, maybe I can even begin designing the portfolio display itself for my work. So I’ve gotten him fully rigged. I’m still doing some work on the texture however, it’s not complete yet. Once he’s finished and textured I’ll have him ready to animate.
